As the 35th ARTS Awards concluded at the Dallas Market Center in January 2025, the premier awards program in the home industry, it is no surprise to see Lisa McDennon in a finalist position for the Product Designer category. The well-traveled, adventure seeking designer has built a powerful reputation for herself within the interior design industry with her ability to expand beyond horizons with creativity. In 2015, she partnered with Hinkley Lighting to create the exclusive Lisa McDennon Lighting Collection which quickly became some of the most coveted collections Hinkley has to offer.
So what makes the Lisa McDennon Lighting Collection stand out? McDennon’s attention to detail and thoughtfulness behind every shape, material, and finish have been a staple to her design process throughout her design career. She is an artistic risk taker. Not confined to one style, McDennon has crafted her collections based on her boundless creativity.
This artistry is showcased through collections like Skye with a blended mid-century and bohemian flare, Flora with a nature based feel, and one of her latest Baya which encapsulates a coastal cottage style. Each of these collections is sure to make a strong impression.
The Skye collection has evolved from a simple pendant to become an extravagant 18 light multi-tier-- providing a versatile size selection.
The Flora collection originated as an elegant hanging fixture. Now this beautiful design is available as a wall sconce-- perfect for any space!
The Baya, one of McDennon's recent releases, now adds a soft, light design to her catalog and makes an artsy statement!

With an eye for organic design and sculptural silhouettes, Lisa McDennon brings a distinctive perspective to her Hinkley lighting pieces. This year, she continues to expand the Lisa McDennon Collection with brand new families and additions to existing lines. We caught up with Lisa to hear more about her 2022 product launch and the inspiration behind her work.
This is an exciting and diverse release, and I’m excited about continuing to expand the collection with more design styles and expanding the use and mixture of various materials and finishes! I am also looking forward to seeing how these designs will be incorporated into interior projects – it’s like icing on the cake when I see my designs featured in actual installations.

GIA is a new collection including a long-tapered sconce andtwo flush mount drums – the design is inspired from industrial gears, softened with gentle scalloped metal. The silver leaf finish echos a classic 40’s Hollywood glamour, whereas the steel finish evokes an edgy, modern vibe.
The Laguna is modern and really set for more of a traditional, glamorous interior. I think there's a width and a breadth to the collection. I like the ability to play in that and I like the idea that the lighting collection and the pieces themselves have their own flexibility to be able to be interpreted and manipulated by the end user depending upon their application.
